What is new in 3.2 for administrators
This is an overview of new features and changes that are relevant for administrators.
Spaces
Meeting Management now includes spaces where you can view spaces on your cluster, and configure blast dial for these spaces.
See Space management
Blast dial
This release includes the blast dial feature. With this feature configured, when any participant dials in to a space, all the other contacts from a preset list in the space are dialed out simultaneously. Blast dial can only be configured for Cisco Meeting Servers which are managed by Meeting Management.
See Blast dial - space management and blast dial configuration and Blast dial monitoring.
Moving web app users
In previous releases, you could not move participants who were using web app. In this release, the restriction is removed and Move Participants works on web app users.
See Move participants to a different meeting.
Hypervisor requirements
This version of Meeting Management 3.2 supports ESXi versions 6.5 U3, 6.7 U3, 7.0 U1c. Previous versions of Meeting Management supported ESXi 6.0 U3, 6.5, 6.7, and 7.0.
For more information, see Before you start.
Notification for unexpected restart
If Meeting Management restarts unexpectedly due to various reasons such as power outage or a crash, a new notification is introduced to inform the user. Rebooting Meeting Management will clear the notification.
See Notifications.
Use Webex Control Hub to monitor your Meeting Management and Meeting Server deployments
You can connect your Meeting Management deployment to Webex Control Hub, so you can see Meeting Management alerts and metrics from the Control Hub interface. You can also set up email and Webex Teams notifications for alerts.
From Webex Control Hub you can:
- See status for all connected instances of Meeting Management
- See notifications from the Meeting Management overview page
- Set up email and Webex Teams notifications
For information and instructions, see https://meeting-infohub.cisco.com/olh/meeting-server-cloud-connector/
Note: The Cloud Connector is not generally available in Control Hub and the Webex Cloud. If you want to test the Cloud Connector, contact your Trials representative.
