Cisco TelePresence

Interoperability Database

Warning - In preview mode

We endeavor to make our Cisco TelePresence products interoperable with all relevant standards-based equipment. Although it is not possible to test all scenarios, the testing on which this data is based covers most common functions of the listed endpoints and infrastructure.

The following pages describe the software releases that were tested for interoperability with Cisco TelePresence products. The results are grouped by product range. It is not possible to guarantee that all the models listed in the Product(s) column have been tested with the specified software release, although to the best of our knowledge we believe that all such models are interoperable with the associated software release. The absence of a device or release does not imply a lack of interoperability.

HDX 9004 3.1.4
  • Interworking call to H.323 registered HDX causes VCS to send a H.245 H239PresentationTokenResponse message to HDX when it has not requested the presentation token. Issue identifier CSCui07568. Workaround: Keep the call native H.323, or SIP register the HDX.
  • HDX H.323 registered on different peer from TS in a VCS cluster. When the TS calls the HDX, VCS incorrectly rejects the BRQ from HDX, causing the call to be very low bandwidth. Issue identifier CSCup10641. Workaround: Register the HDX and TS on the same VCS peer, or SIP register the HDX.
RealPresence Desktop 3.2.1

RealPresence Desktop softclient sends "m-stream" where it should be using "mstrm" according to the RFC. This issue has been raised with Polycom. Issue identifier CSCuj30802.

RealPresence Group 300 4.1.4

Polycom GroupSeries endpoint cannot decode media encrypted by B2BUA.

Workaround: Don’t use VCS B2BUA (Keep SIP Media Encryption mode set to auto) in call with GroupSeries endpoint
