Cisco Meeting Server Cloud Connector

Cisco Meeting Server Cloud Connector is a hybrid service that lets you connect Meeting Management deployments to the Webex Control Hub and the Webex Cloud.

The service lets you:

  • See information about Meeting Management instances and their connected Meeting Servers in the Control Hub interface.
  • Set up email and Webex Teams alerts, so you can get notified about Meeting Management errors and warnings.

The service also sends metrics to the Webex Cloud.

What you can see and do in the Meeting Management user interface

On the Meeting Management Settings page, Cloud Connector tab, you can edit transport settings, disable the Cloud Connector, or see the current status of the service.

The status will show the following:

  • Registration: This tells you if this instance of Meeting Management is registered to the Webex Cloud.
  • Addresses of Webex Cloud services: This tells you which addresses Meeting Management needs to reach for Cisco Meeting Server Cloud Connector to work.

Before you start

Before you enable Cisco Meeting Server Cloud Connector, make sure that your environment meets the requirements, and that you have the relevant information ready.

The basic prerequisite is that your Meeting Management instances and their connected Meeting Servers are configured and working.

Prerequisites for setting up Cisco Meeting Server Cloud Connector:

  • Make sure that Meeting Management can be reached by Webex Control Hub.

Note: Specific URLs that Meeting Management connects to are generated when you register the instance. That means that you may need to configure some firewall settings after you have registered the Meeting Management instance.

Meeting Management uses port 443 to connect to the Webex Cloud.

If you need a proxy server, have the following ready:

    • IP address or FQDN of the proxy server
    • Port number for the proxy server
    • Certificate for the proxy server
  • Have your Meeting Management address and administrator credentials ready.

This should be an IP address or FQDN that administrators can use to sign in to the web interface.
